If you ring them fast enough you will hear a massive sweeping sound, and a notification of the trophy/achievement will appear on your screen. This order is very important, as messing it up will cause you to have to restart the process entirely. Once you know which bells are which, it’s time to learn the order in which you need to interact with them. Bell number 1 is actually located on its own, on the other side of the room. There are five bells in the back of the area, these are bells 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Because you have to do this quickly, we suggest bringing along a group of friends (at least two others, for a Fireteam of three total). Now that you know where the bells are, it’s time to get acquainted with them. These stairs lead to a set of 6 bells, which you will need to ring in a specific order to unlock the Sing the Song of Iron achievement.

Follow the corridor all the way to the room with the Iron Lord statues, and then locate the stairs on either side. Once the new social area has unlocked, head there from the Director, and make your way up the stairs and into the Iron Temple. After you complete the first two missions, King of the Mountain and The Walls Come Down. The first step to unlocking this achievement is to unlock Felwinter Peak, which can be accomplished by playing through the main Destiny: Rise of Iron campaign.
